Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Observation in Beverly Hills, CA to monitor a luxury retail site, deter theft, and deliver excellent customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors while enforcing site policies and responding to incidents.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $20.96 per hour. A high school diploma is required, and candidates will undergo background checks and drug screening; licensing requirements may apply.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Tue: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a luxury retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information with store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
