Job summary

Baptist Health Nassau is seeking a Security Officer to join the Protective Services team for night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:15 AM) at the Nassau location. You will patrol the campus, monitor facilities, and provide safety escort services for patients, visitors, and staff.

This role emphasizes maintaining patient and employee safety, responding to incidents, enforcing parking rules, and supporting security technologies like metal detectors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years law enforcement experience preferred.
• 1-2 years security officer experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Baptist Health is looking to add a Security Officer to our Protective Services Department at our Baptist Nassau location. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity position working from 6:00 PM - 6:15 AM.

The Security Officer’s primary function is to assure the day-to-day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. As patient safety and experience are top priority this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.

Security Officer Responsibilities

• Reporting any unusual circumstances, and take appropriate corrective actions
• Insuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
• Providing escort services
• Respond to unsafe situations
• Enforce hospital parking regulations
• Assist individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems

Security Officer Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience Preferred

Security Officer Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Associate or Science Preferred

This Security Officer will be located at Baptist Nassau.
