Your Role:

As aSecurity Officer, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone in the hospital – from patients to staff to visitors. Your actions will have a direct impact on the safety of our community, ensuring that M Health Fairview continues to provide the high-quality care we’re known for.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Safeguard the communityby patrolling designated areas and responding quickly to incidents, ensuring the security of patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Prevent theft and vandalismthrough proactive surveillance and reporting.

  • Use yourde-escalation skillsandconflict resolution techniquesto handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm.

  • Respond tohigh-risk situations, all while staying focused on keeping the environment safe and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

  • Document daily activitiesaccurately and professionally to keep everyone in the loop and ensure proper follow-up.

Schedule:
  • 0.75 FTE - 1.0 FTE (60 hours per pay period to 80 hours per pay period)
  • day/evening/night shifts
  • every weekend to every other weekend rotation
What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Experience:2 years of security, customer service, or military experience OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of security/customer service experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • License/Certification:Valid Class D Driver’s License and a clean DMV record.

Preferred:

  • Previoushospital security experience.

  • Certifications likeCertified Peace Officer (POST)orEmergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B).
