Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer in Janesville, WI. You will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and document activity using on-site systems to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery access records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report security concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by observing activity at entrances and exits and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity.

As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for everyone on site. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Mon: 05:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 06:0 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery access records in accordance with site procedures.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by observing activity at entrances and exits and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
