Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document actions taken.
• Report hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Professional at utility locations, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values through teamwork.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
