Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is looking for a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Mount Vernon, WA. You will monitor and protect government locations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour. You will patrol sites, respond to incidents, and complete detailed reports while following site procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state laws.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site-specific procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, transit platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor entrances and restricted spaces, document observations, and report maintenance concerns or suspicious activity.
• Assist with directional questions and complete detailed activity and incident reports before, during, and after each shift.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site‑specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security‑related policies at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, transit platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted spaces, document observations, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity according to post orders.
• Support daily operations by assisting with directional questions, observing pedestrian and vehicle movement, and completing detailed activity and incident reports before, during, and after each shift.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
