Job summary

Allied Universal in Elko, NV is seeking a Security Officer Mobile Patrol to protect clients across healthcare facilities and other sites. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role emphasizes responding to incidents and emergencies, documenting events, and collaborating with site leadership to ensure safety and compliance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner; notify personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular foot/vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with directions and access control.
• Prepare accurate reports on incidents and daily activities and share with leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, assisting with directions and access control as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
