THE JOB:

As a Security Officer, you will act as a visible presence to deter potential threats, respond swiftly to emergencies, and manage situations involving violence or life safety risks. This role calls for specialized training, physical preparedness, and a commitment to following property policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.

THE STARTING RATE:$18.50

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Conduct proactive patrols across all areas of the property, including the exterior, utilizing a bicycle or company vehicle to ensure a safe and secure environment.

• Operate advanced alarm systems and surveillance cameras to monitor property activity effectively.

• Deliver outstanding service by assisting guests and employees, resolving complaints, and addressing issues professionally and promptly.

• Serve as a first responder, providing critical support during emergency situations.

• Handle gaming transactions with precision, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Document daily activities and irregularities, including property damage, theft, accidents, or unusual occurrences, through detailed and accurate reports.

• Act as a vital communication hub, relaying essential information, messages, and emergencies via telephones or two-way radios.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Proficiency in learning and effectively applying defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques.

• Capability to actively participate in evacuation procedures, ensuring the safety of guests and employees during emergencies.

• Skilled in operating assigned equipment with precision and care.

• Aptitude for quickly learning and proficiently using various computer software systems.

• Can successfully complete a comprehensive security officer academy training course.

• Has previous security, military, or law enforcement experience (preferred)

• Is at least 19 years old of age (required)

• Has flexibility to work weekends and holidays

• Has experience working in a similar size facility

• Has a valid driver's license
