Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at the site.
• Monitor access to the healthcare location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials, and maintain logs.

• Answer calls, provide information and directions, and assist communication between visitors and staff.
• Report unusual activity or policy violations to designated personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Check In in Melville, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.79 - 19.79 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, front desk policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access to the healthcare location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs and/or sign‑in records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established escalation procedures.
• Answer incoming calls, provide general information and directions, and support communication between visitors, staff, and authorized responders.
• Maintain awareness of front desk activity and report unusual activity, access concerns, or policy violations to designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
