Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer X Ray Material Analysis in Indianapolis, IN. This Part Time role offers $17.22 per hour with a DayTime and evening schedule and access to the Claim a Shift platform.

You will provide customer service to staff and visitors, screen people and belongings, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma; badge experience and customer service are preferred, with X-ray screening

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and personal belongings per access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, verify credentials, and report irregularities or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and access points; vary by location.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with established access-control and screening requirements.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, verify credentials as directed, and report irregularities or prohibited items to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
