Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Manufacturing Company Access Control in Melville, NY. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, badge activity, monitor alarm panels, and provide outstanding customer service at a manufacturing and industrial location.

This full-time role requires at least one year of security experience, strong communication, and a commitment to integrity and safety.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles).
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Manage the front desk and visitor reception area, including greeting guests, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, promptly reporting unusual activity or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with established emergency response procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by controlling entry to the facility, directing visitors to designated areas, and communicating access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
