Job Description

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol - Unarmedin Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at this retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with guests and staff, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuations or other procedures as directed by management or emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
