Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour. Schedule spans day and night shifts to cover a 24/7 operation, with responsibilities including incident reporting and cooperation with team members.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, delivery personnel, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents and report to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the property, including common areas and entrances.
• Monitor access activity to deter unauthorized entry and suspicious behavior.
• Complete daily activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Luxury Retail in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with Allied Universal team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, delivery personnel, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting matters to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, including common areas, parking locations, entry points, perimeter areas, and nearby loading or delivery areas.
• Monitor access activity and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, and/or policy violations through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
