Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests and property and enforce hotel rules. You will respond to emergencies, monitor CCTV and access points, and coordinate with local agencies while delivering professional guest service.

The position requires 1+ years of hotel security experience, a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and valid work authorization in the United States. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years security experience, preferably within hotels.
• Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with peers, superiors, and clients.
• Must be flexible with schedule - able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Protect guests, patrons, and associates; their property, hotel property, building and grounds. Enforce hotel rules and policies.
• Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel to reduce accidents and loss.
• Respond to all emergency calls; assist Fire Command center when needed; know fire/life system functions.
• Patrol building; identify and fix safety, security, and fire hazards.
• Enforce all security and safety policies and procedures.
• Support Operations Center with monitoring, access control, CCTV, alarms and visitor management.
• Assist with workers' compensation reports and health and safety efforts.
• Write incident reports and conduct investigations; maintain records and follow-up on reports.
• Provide friendly, professional service to occupants, workers and neighbors.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and hotel associations.
• Handle non-emergency calls, disputes, and minor injuries.
• Contain and transport potentially contaminated items per Bloodborne Pathogen program.
• Participate in fire plan development and testing.
• Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors.
