Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access in Nicholasville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution.

In this role, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help deter security incidents, and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing excellent customer service and communication. Position Details

• Type: Part Time
• Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday to Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by executing access control procedures and following site policies, including emergency responses.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and monitor security incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to restrict access to authorized personnel.
• Document and report security incidents or unusual activities observed during patrols or access monitoring.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Minimum age: 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening as per laws.
• Licensing varies by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
