Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA. You will perform unarmed patrols at a commercial real estate site, provide customer service to tenants and visitors, and stay highly visible to deter security-related incidents.

The role offers flexible day/evening shifts with pay of $19.50 per hour. A high school diploma and background check are required; driving positions require a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, vendors, and visitors while following security procedures.
• Conduct patrols of common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity to site management.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document actions per procedures.
• Complete routine reports and communicate findings to supervisors and emergency services.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, vendors, and visitors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, escalating concerns to site management and/or responding resources in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and documentation as required by site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicating pertinent information to supervisors, property management, and/or emergency services as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
