Job summary

Harvard Protection Services seeks a Security Officer to provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services for people and property. You will maintain a professional demeanor, keep a visible presence, monitor for suspicious activity, and assist guests and staff in a courteous manner.

The role requires a minimum High School Diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a security license if needed; the firm emphasizes reliable communication and transportation and welcomes open

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
• Write routine log entries and incident reports.
• Prior contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor the environment to detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Greet customers and respond to phones professionally.
• Control access and monitor entrances and exits as required.
• Perform patrols on foot or by vehicle and document incidents.
