The Lead Security Officer, in the absence of the Security Manager, Assistant Manager and Security Supervisors, has command over all officers assigned to the shift. Responsible for the protection of all company assets, including, but not limited to: Physical protection for all facilities, property, and other resources, resulting in a safe and secure environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all security functions to be carried out during shift.
• Ensure general orders, policies, rules and regulations are complied with and familiar to ALL personnel under command.
• Considered the liaison between the Security Staff and the management staff of Hilmar Cheese Company when a supervisor is not present
• Notifies supervisor in writing whenever an incident occurs
• Secure all gates
• Checking all incoming and outgoing vehicles for proper authority to enter or exit
• Ensure all personnel entering the facility have proper authority
• Secure and monitor entire facility 24/7 in accordance with corporate and security guidelines, policies and procedures
• Responsible for the training of newly hired security officers.
• Active participation and ownership in your training and development program and associated activities, classes and events, which will be held before, during, after shifts and during scheduled days off.
• Help coach and train teammates and participate in on the job, buddy training.
• Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. This includes communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates as well as participating in food safety and sanitation root cause analysis and improvement activities when required.
• Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety first approach at all times. This includes reporting any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your teams and follow up.
  

What You Will Need

• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak English.
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• 1 year of experience in law enforcement and/or corporate security
• Possession of a valid State of California guard card. (if employed in CA) or a valid non-commissioned security license (if employed in TX) within 60 days (about 2 months) of hire and maintain an active valid Guard Card or non-commissioned license throughout employment.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and rotating shifts. (day/swing/graveyard)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Some college units or degree.
• 2 year SAP experience.
• 3 years of Customer Service experience.
