Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Key Control in Dakota City, NE to safeguard clients at a food and beverage production location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This is a full-time role with a pay rate of $19.20 per hour and a schedule including Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM. Background checks and drug screening are required by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Background histories considered per applicable laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain logs.
• Screen and direct deliveries, contractors, and vendors to appropriate locations while following access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify unauthorized access and potential security concerns.

Pay Rate: $19.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen and direct deliveries, contractors, and vendors to appropriate locations while following established vehicle, trailer, and restricted-area access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
