Job Description

HIRING - JUVENILE ASSESSMENT CENTER SECURITY OFFICERS - in the Pinellas County Area

  • We are seeking formerly certified Juvenile Justice Officers (2 years experience), Criminal Justice Degree Graduates (Bachelors) with two years of security experience, and formerly certified corrections and law enforcement officers (Military or Civilian).
  • Full and part-time positions available with many opportunities for growth.
  • Compensation: $21.00 per hour with a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the process of arrested juveniles, including reception, photography, searches, fingerprinting, warrant checks via FCIC/NCIC, and reporting warrant hits to law enforcement.
  • Consistently report, document, log activities, and vigilantly monitor juveniles.
  • Collaborate with onsite providers to facilitate information flow between agencies during screening and court functions.
  • Make notifications for emergency and non-emergency medical responses, generate reports on significant incidents, including Use of Force.
  • Train in juvenile correction techniques to effectively communicate, monitor, and control detained youth.

As a Custom Protection Officer, you will serve clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, and Government.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform security patrols on foot or vehicle.
  • Identify irregular or unsafe conditions.
  • Sound alarms or notify police/fire in emergencies.
  • Provide customer service, enforce safety procedures, and respond to incidents calmly.
  • Conduct patrols around the premises.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Military law enforcement-related service, civilian public safety academy graduation, or relevant work experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.
    • 8+ years of military service.
    • Associate's degree or higher in law enforcement/criminal justice with active military service.

Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening as per legal requirements. Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws. A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
