Job Description

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrols in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $12.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri07:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location.
• Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with directions and information as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and unwanted activity through visible presence and patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
