Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Security Officer Industrial at our Ronkonkoma, NY location. You will monitor and patrol a manufacturing and industrial site, provide excellent customer service, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and emergencies calmly and according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Report hazards, unusual activity, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report observed hazards, unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
