Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide security and customer service, operate screening equipment, and monitor access points to deter incidents.

The role includes rotating shifts with a schedule that supports part-time work, including early morning hours. Prior security and X-ray screening experience are valued, as is a HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas and perimeter.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by operating screening equipment, monitoring access points, and conducting routine patrols. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and shipping documentation as required for entry to controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution operations, loading areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
