UC Health is seeking a Security Officer II for public safety and security. This full-time role involves patrolling facilities, enforcing regulations, and responding to incidents. Ideal candidates will have a background in law enforcement or public safety and must complete necessary training to maintain certifications.

Responsible for the protection of UC Health associates, patients, visitors, as well as buildings, grounds and vehicles. Enforces rules and regulations as they pertain to all facilities.
Education: Associate degree in criminal justice or security management, preferred. Graduation from Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) or other state certified training academy as a security or police officer, preferred.
License and Certification: Obtain the IAHSS security officer certification within 12 months of employment.
Years of Experience: Two years experience in law enforcement/public safety/security/military police, minimum required. Willing to certify, license or graduate within 12 months, IAHSS certified, preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Basic police training preferred, experience with multiple computer programs such as Microsoft office required.
Work Environment: Associate must be able to demonstrate the ability to consider the attributes, special need and behaviors of the specific and highly diverse populations served by UC Health and to demonstrate the competencies that address the unique characteristics related to developmental, physical, psychosocial, mental, emotional and social needs at all stages and ages of life, as well as the norms, religious preferences, language and communication attributes and other characteristics of our diverse patient, and associate, population. Must be able to act under stress, working in variety of weather and maintain moral standards.
