Join to apply for the Security Officer II (MTS) role at Muckleshoot Indian Tribe

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for assisting in the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, and visitors of the Tribe.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Performing security patrols of buildings, vehicles, and at Tribal events.
  2. Protecting property from theft and vandalism.
  3. Investigating incidents and writing reports on accidents, suspicious activities, and other security-related situations.
  4. Providing assistance to Tribal members, employees, and visitors during gatherings and funerals.
  5. Contacting law enforcement regarding unauthorized or hostile individuals at Tribal facilities or community events.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months of security-related experience.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license, Flagger card, and First Aid/CPR certification at the time of appointment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of defensive tactics, use of force, and legal protections.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, write reports, work independently, and operate necessary equipment.
  • Familiarity with administrative duties, confidentiality, and emergency preparedness.
Working Conditions:

Includes standing, walking, operating equipment, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, working outdoors, and exposure to various environmental conditions.

  • Must be familiar with computer skills, filing, report writing, and maintaining confidentiality.
