Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Network Director of Security and Transportation or the Manager of Security Operations, the Security Officer II performs security functions to safeguard employees, patients, visitors, and property. Responsibilities include parking enforcement, traffic control, patrols, operating security equipment, issuing IDs, managing emergencies, enforcing policies, and assisting law enforcement, among others.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred
• Minimum 1-year security experience or 2 years military service with Honorable Discharge
• Valid NYS Security Guard License within 90 days of hire
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 120 days of hire
• Aerosol Subject Restraint certification within 120 days of hire
• Valid NYS Class D driver’s license

• Ability to exert force, climb, crouch, lift, stand, walk, and perform related physical activities

Working Conditions and Travel
