The role you’ll contribute:

The Security Officer II performs security duties through professional and positive interactions, responding to calls, assisting in emergencies and non-emergencies, investigating hazards, incidents, and criminal activities, and patrolling designated areas to ensure safety and security. The role requires initiative, judgment, and competence, and involves participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships. Completion of physiological and physical fitness screenings is required.

• Proactively patrols assigned areas and performs security-related tasks to maintain life safety standards.
• Investigates suspicious activity or persons and reports hazards or unusual circumstances.
• Responds appropriately to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls, using good judgment to ensure safety.
• Administers initial first aid as trained.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Training certification or equivalent within six months of hire
• Applicable state driver's license and clean driving record

Additional departmental testing may be required.
