Job summary

Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking a Security Officer to guard and monitor our donation centers and facilities in San Diego. The role focuses on preventing theft, responding to emergencies, and upholding safety protocols.

You will patrol premises, write incident reports, manage access, and assist in training new officers. Requirements include High School/GED and 1+ year of experience; CPR/FA/AED and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year or more security experience required.
• Proficient with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security by patrolling premises and monitoring access.
• Assist with emergencies; First Aid, CPR and AED.
• Write daily activity and incident reports.
• Notify management of illegal activity.
• Circulate among visitors to preserve order.
• Operate and secure doors, gates and other entry points.
• Assist in training new officers on standards and procedures.
• Safeguard donated goods and report theft or incidents.
