Job Description
Responsible for protecting company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Provides security by positioning himself/herself within a building entrance, more specifically, at or near the front desk/check in area. Ensures that all employees and visitors are properly greeted and checked in. Answers questions and directs individuals to the proper locations throughout the facility. Notifies employees of arriving visitors and directs them to meet and escort their guests. Follows proper security protocols by obtaining and issuing proper identification of anyone entering the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* The selected candidate must be able to work, first, second and third shifts, weekends, and Holidays and over time as required.
* Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
* The candidate must be able to attend mandatory training sessions.
* Proficiency with computers is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the department's computer system are essential.
* The selected candidate must be able to engage with patients, visitors, and staff.
* This position includes safety tours of the facility and grounds, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and gathering information, completing electronic reports, de-escalating violent or threatening individuals.
* The candidate will be exposed to Bio-Hazards such as Blood, Vomit, Saliva, and Urine.
* The candidate will be required to pass an N95 Fit Test. Be able to wear an N95 or surgical mask for short and extended periods of time.
* The candidates will be oriented on one or more shifts during their initial orientation.
* Candidates will be required to pass an AHS approved physical control tactics course.
QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION:
Required - High School Graduate or equivalent
Associate or bachelor's Degree is preferred.
High School Diploma plus Military, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service or Security experience, will be considered in lieu of Associate degree.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
* Former Military, Reserve Military and Law Enforcement candidates preferred.
* Thorough background checks conducted.
* Ability to write detailed reports, and strong verbal skills are essential.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
* Valid Driver's License required with a clean record.
