CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a Security Officer to ensure safety and security within the facility. Responsibilities include controlling visitor traffic, conducting safety tours, and assisting in emergencies. Ideal candidates will possess strong customer service skills, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Must complete assigned education by Crisis Prevention Institute.
Work Experience: Customer service and de-escalation skills required. Experience with mental health and memory disorders is strongly preferred. Prior security experience is a plus.
Licenses and Certifications: A valid NJ driver's license is required. Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification is required, with new hires needing to obtain it within 3 months of hire. Certifications must be renewed every 2 years. Completion of education provided by Crisis Prevention Institute is mandatory.
Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills. For visitor control, basic computer knowledge, awareness of surroundings, and skills in managing visitors/contractors who may be reluctant to comply are necessary.
