Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Security Officer I to help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will patrol facilities, enforce safety rules, respond to emergencies, and support hospital operations.

Hours are full-time (40 hours weekly) with rotating shifts. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Valid Driver's License (required).
• One year of related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols on foot or by car and enforce hospital rules.
• Direct firefighting activities and inspect for fire/safety hazards.
• Direct traffic on hospital property and assist with vehicle issues.
• Provide routine escort and emergent delivery services to campus facilities.
• Train in fire fighting techniques and equipment use.
• Lock/unlock doors as appropriate and operate security tech systems.
• Investigate complaints and complete incident reports.
