Job summary

Geisinger seeks a Security Officer I to maintain safety for patients, visitors, and employees at the Medical Center. You'll perform patrols, monitor security systems, respond to emergencies, and support hospital operations to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Hours are part time—20 hours per week with day/evening rotations. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; one year of related security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: one year of related security experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols on foot or by car and report issues.
• Direct firefighting activities and inspect buildings for hazards.
• Direct traffic on hospital property and assist with vehicle issues.
• Provide escort and emergent delivery services to campus facilities.
• Operate security technology including CCTV, access control, and radios.
• Investigate incidents and complete detailed reports.
