Reading Hospital in Reading, PA is seeking a Security Officer I for the Full-Time Evening Shift. You will screen individuals and their belongings at facility entrances, inspect vehicles, and enforce security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.

You will monitor surveillance and weapons screening systems, assist with wayfinding, and respond promptly to emergencies or suspicious activity, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• IAHSS CHSO certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current valid driver's license is required.

Job Summary

Full-Time Evening Shift, every other weekend and every other holiday will be required. Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.

Qualifications

Education Requirements
