Job summary

Tower Health in Reading, PA, seeks a Security Officer 1 for a full-time day shift (6:00am–2:30pm). You will screen people, items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, monitor surveillance and screening systems, and respond to emergencies.

Education: High School Diploma or GED. No experience required. Certifications: BLS and IAHSS CHSO (within 6 months); valid driver’s license. Skills: safety awareness, strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Job Summary

Work Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift Position, Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.
