Job summary

Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health in Montgomery County, PA seeks a Security Officer 1 to safeguard the facility. You will screen individuals, inspect bags and vehicles, monitor surveillance and weapons screening systems, and respond promptly to security concerns with sound judgment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (or relevant experience), a valid driver’s license, BLS certification, CHSO within 6 months of hire, and relevant security experience.

Job Summary

Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.

Work Schedule

Night Shift, hours are, 11pm-7:30am with every other weekend and every other holiday required.
