The role provides reliable, consistent hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The schedule includes a fixed shift (Fri 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM) and potential for additional shifts, enabling earnings growth and broader site experience.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Driver's license if driving role(s) exist.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors per site procedures.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, maintain visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity and security systems; report unusual activity to campus personnel or emergency responders.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established protocols.
• Assist with access control, deliveries, lost-and-found inquiries, and general information requests at the educational location.

As a Security Officer Hosptial Center in East Meadow, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry activity and security-related systems, report unusual activity, and communicate concerns to appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Assist with access control, deliveries, lost-and-found inquiries, and general information requests at an educational location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
