Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Security in Los Angeles, CA to protect patients, visitors, staff, and vendors within a hospital setting. You will patrol facilities, provide exceptional customer service, enforce site policies, and respond to emergencies with calm professionalism.

The role emphasizes visible security presence, access control, and collaboration with healthcare teams to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Night shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations calmly and according to protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Security in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a caring environment through teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
