Job Description

We are currently hiring a Security Officer for the Emergency Department in Jacksonville, FL. The position involves in-person interviews with a Hiring Manager, scheduled for Friday, May 16th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the AUS Branch Office, 7411 Fullerton St, Ste 101, Jacksonville, FL 32256.   • Overnight shift

This role involves conducting unarmed foot and vehicle patrols in a hospital environment, controlling access, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, and reporting suspicious activities. Due to safety concerns, drug screening, TB testing, and vaccinations may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform security patrols and document observations
  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restraint as needed
  • Transport patients, assist with evacuations, and respond to emergencies
  • Monitor entrances/exits and ensure only authorized access
  • Investigate incidents and maintain logs
Qualifications (must Have)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mediate conflicts and pay attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military or law enforcement experience
  • Certified Public Safety Academy graduate or similar experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
