Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Reception in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and professionalism. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems as needed to support your duties, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. Your role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for everyone at the location.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and managing visitor logs.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including communicating with appropriate personnel and directing individuals as required.
• Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information requests.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
