Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Sumter, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In this unarmed patrol position, your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will be a point of contact for those in need of assistance, using your communication skills to address concerns and support a positive atmosphere. This post requires a valid driver's license in the job state. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and providing assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
