Job summary

Allied Universal in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Security Officer Healthcare Deescalation (Part Time) to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a hospital setting. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide friendly, professional service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As a part-time role, you can build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. Minimum requirements include security experience, hospital exposure, and the ability to work around a hospital morgue;

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and facility perimeter.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of security-related systems.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly, and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM


• Sat: 01:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.


• Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of security-related systems in accordance with site procedures.


• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.


• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.


• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.


• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
