DK Security, Inc. in Troy, MI is seeking a part-time Uniformed Security Officer to protect facilities, assets and people while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves post guarding, patrols, and reporting incidents, with shifts Wed/Sat/Sun from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Compensation is $20.00 per hour and benefits include multiple insurance options and paid sick days. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, pass background checks and a drug screen, and be willing to obtain

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED, per MCL 338.1067
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies, per MCL 338.1060
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, or two or more alcohol related offenses
• Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified and be capable of administering this care in emergency situations
• Must be able to move quickly, including running short distances, to respond in emergency situations
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk long distances, including navigating stairs, for the duration of the shift (8-12 hours)
• Must be able to work indoors or outdoors during all seasons
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (70 lbs. if armed)
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision

Job Skills / Requirements

Uniformed Security Officers are responsible for protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, students and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, fires and natural disasters, as well as providing outstanding customer service to our customers, clients, and visitors.

SCHEDULE: Wed/Sat/Sun 1500-2300

Part-Time 3 Days/Week

Compensation:

• Rate of Pay: $20.00/hour.

Job Duties

• Must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED, per MCL 338.1067

• Must adhere to our company’s Uniform and Appearance policy and present a friendly, positive, and professional image.


• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner. This includes the ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
