PHM's Security Officer role in Orlando, FL is a full-time position safeguarding people, property, and reputation. You will patrol interiors and exteriors, monitor access, operate CCTV, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service per post orders and policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain a guard license, CPR/First Aid/AED preferred, and strong observation, de-escalation, and report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year security, military, law enforcement, or customer-facing experience preferred (will train reliable candidates).
• State/local guard license (if required) or ability to obtain promptly.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred (or within 60 days of hire).
• Strong observation, de-escalation, and report-writing skills; professional demeanor under pressure.
• Comfortable using incident reporting software, email, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; CCTV experience a plus.
• Clear background and driving record (if operating company vehicles); valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends/holidays; dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior/exterior areas and deter theft with a visible presence.
• Verify IDs, manage sign-ins, and enforce badge procedures.
• Operate CCTV/VMS, alarms, and radios; investigate alerts.
• Respond to incidents; de-escalate and coordinate with authorities.
• Write timely incident and activity reports; preserve evidence.
• Greet and assist guests and employees; provide directions.
• Support life-safety checks and drills; follow OSHA and policy.
• Observe cash/asset handling; report irregularities.
• Follow site post orders; maintain radios and equipment.
• Assist with events, crowd control, and after-hours access.
