Job Description

As a Security Officer - Media Patrol in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients across various industries such as Tech, Media, Telecom, and others.

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech-focused location, your duties include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, maintaining visibility to deter security incidents, and providing reassurance. Responsibilities involve conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering excellent customer service through clear communication. You will embody our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, working collaboratively with your team and acting with integrity to foster a positive environment on site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $37.32 / Hour

Schedule: Thursday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sunday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to clients following security procedures, site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, with conditions varying by site.
  • Help deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior.
  • Document and report security incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity per site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry points to maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
  • At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Subject to background check in accordance with laws.
  • Criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Must pass a drug screening as permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required before employment.
  • Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
