Job Description

We are hiring in the Germantown area of Philadelphia for the role of Security Officer at Chestnut Hill Hospital. This is a full-time overnight shift position.

• Must submit a resume
• Minimum 1 year of security experience
• May have 2+ years in healthcare/medical field
• Must work weekends
• High school diploma or GED required
• Customer service experience necessary
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet

Pay rate: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Monitor for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity
• Patrol premises on foot, bicycle, or vehicle
• De-escalate situations verbally and physically as needed
• Inspect security devices and fire equipment
• Screen visitors and staff for entry
• Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently
• May include patient escort, safety escort, or transporting deceased

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in customer service, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background check and drug screening required
• State/local licensing may be required
• Valid driver’s license for driving roles
• Post-offer training and certification in managing aggressive behavior
