Job summary

Securitas USA in Olathe, KS is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment.

No experience necessary; CPR certification provided. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits, weekly pay, and opportunities for growth within a global security leader.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus.
• CPR certification required (provided).
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/ effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
