Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Technology) in Pasadena, CA. You will protect clients across various locations, patrol retail sites, and provide a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Strong customer service and reliable reporting are essential.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour. Schedule includes daytime and overnight shifts across Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required by law.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail convenience store location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, parking area, fuel island, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports while following location procedures for access control, deliveries, and emergency notifications.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
