Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to patrol facilities, assist visitors, and report incidents using a tablet. You will be part of a team delivering safe, reliable security services. Shift: 11:00 PM–07:00 AM, five days a week.

Pay rate $19.57 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to pass background and drug screening, and a valid driver’s license for driving roles.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing guests and staff in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
