Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed) in Columbus, OH. You will patrol, monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to incidents at an airport-related location. Strong customer service and badge-control experience are preferred.

The role requires a high school diploma, 18+ (or 21+ for armed roles), and a background check. Day and night shifts are available with competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an airport-related location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns; assist with directing individuals to appropriate airport resources.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Tablet Operations in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and access control processes, assist visitors with professionalism, and communicate clearly with airport personnel and the public. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
