Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol) in Livonia, MI. You will protect clients across logistics facilities, monitor grounds, and support access control with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be completed in accordance with law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility grounds and entry points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry/exit activity and verify authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports and shift handoff communications.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Screening in Livonia, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and help to deter incidents through a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution facility grounds, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles; verify authorization in accordance with site-specific procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.


• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.


• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.


• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
